If you’re not using videos in your marketing yet, you know you probably should be. Wistia has found that video boosts engagement and creates a relationship with your viewers, adds SEO value to your website, and can significantly boost your conversion rates.

Since viewers of your video content are some of the most engaged prospects you have, we want to help you convert them into leads and customers that you can market to with Drip. That’s why we’re thrilled to announce our newest native integration with one of the most popular video hosting solutions for business in the world: Wistia.

As of today, the new Drip Wistia integration, using Wistia’s Turnstile feature, allows your video viewers to enter their email address directly into your video player—which can then trigger campaigns and workflows from within your Drip account.

No manual importing or exporting. Just leads routed straight from your videos to wherever you want them to go next. A Turnstile is a simple pop-up screen you can add at any point in your videos hosted with Wistia to collect opt-ins. Watch the video above to see a live Turnstile example, and here’s what the pop up form looks like:

The best part is, setting up the Drip Wistia integration is totally intuitive and takes just a handful of clicks.

How Drip and Wistia Work Together to Grow Your Business

You might already be brainstorming all the amazing ways you’re going to implement this integration in your own business. ut if you need a little help, here are a few ways to maximize the power of Wistia’s Turnstile feature and your marketing automation with Drip.

Offer Content Upgrades on Your Webinar Replays

If you’re currently hosting webinars (or would like to be), you’ll want to record a replay of the content that you can send to attendees or those that couldn’t make it. Wistia’s hosting and playback features are perfect for webinar replays—in fact, we’re Wistia customers here at Drip, and we do just that.

With the power of Wistia’s Turnstile feature and our new Drip integration, you’ll be able to request email addresses at any point in your webinar replay in exchange for a bonus such as …

  • A content upgrade
  • A live demo
  • A 1-to-1 consultation

Once submitted, they’ll pass directly into Drip, and can trigger a workflow or campaign that fulfills what you’ve offered and adds them to any marketing funnel you choose.

Generate New Leads from Video Testimonials

Do you have video testimonials or case studies for your business? Insert a Wistia Turnstile into one of your videos, and allow people to enter their email address at some point during a testimonial.

While an engaged video viewer is watching a rave review from another customer on your website, you can prompt them to enter their email address in order to automatically be sent a 10% discount coupon via Drip. From there, you can automatically move your new prospect into the lead nurturing campaign or workflow of your choosing.

Schedule Consultations from Your Demo Videos

Whether you’re a software company with an explainer video, or you’re simply using video to show off your services, demo videos are a perfect moment to encourage video viewers into the next stage of your marketing funnel.

At the end of your demo video, add a Turnstile screen to ask viewers, “Are you ready to learn more? Enter your email address to schedule a personalized consultation right now.” Once a viewer enters their email address, you can automatically trigger an email that includes a link to an appointment scheduling software like Calendly, and begin nurturing that new lead by scheduling a consultation.

Announce Events and Register Attendees

There’s no better way to announce and promote an event than to use video. You’ll humanize your event hosts, pack more information into a smaller package, and generate more buzz than just sending people to an Eventbrite page with details and a “Buy Now” button.

For any webinar or live event, make a short video in advance, and embed it on one of your landing pages or on your website. With Wistia’s Turnstile feature and their new Drip integration, you can have people enter their email in order to pre-register themselves as attendees or sign up for early bird pricing information right inside your embedded video player.

This action can trigger a workflow that creates regular communication with your event prospects and automatically encourages them to register or purchase tickets.

Drive Quality Leads and Trigger Workflows Directly from Your Videos Today

We can’t wait to see how you’ll incorporate this new lead generation opportunity into your video content and your campaigns or workflows. Plus, with Drip’s free marketing automation and Wistia’s free video hosting platform, there’s no reason not to give it a try today.

      Ha! Thanks, Anil. 🙂

  • Really good stuff. I’love seeing more video integrations for Drip.

  • How about triggering according to how much they have watched ..eg you publish a video replay of a webinar – you probably have their email already – what you want is to know how far they watched the video to trigger a new email sequence?

    • Daphne Sidor

Hey, Jules—that isn’t part of the current integration, but you could definitely do that by adding on a tool like Center: https://www.center.io/
